01 — What it treats
Where Botox
actually helps
Neurotoxin relaxes the specific muscle that is creasing the skin. That makes it precise work rather than a blanket treatment — which areas get dosed, and how much, is the whole difference between a rested face and an obviously treated one.
Forehead lines
The horizontal lines that show when you raise your brows. Dosed lightly and in balance with the muscles that hold the brow up, so the brow does not drop.
Frown lines
The two vertical creases between the brows, often called the 11s. The most predictable area in the face and usually the first thing people ask about.
Crow’s feet
Fine lines fanning from the outer corner of the eye. Placed to soften the crease while leaving a genuine smile intact.
Lip flip
A few units along the upper lip to let it roll slightly outward — more lip on show without adding any filler or volume.
No filler involvedGummy smile
Relaxes the muscle that lifts the upper lip too high, lowering how much gum shows when you smile broadly.
Jaw slimming
Masseter treatment for a softer lower-face shape, and relief if you clench or grind. Often does both jobs at once.
Also helps clenchingExcess sweating
Hyperhidrosis treatment for underarms, palms or soles. A medical use of the same product, and typically the longest-lasting one.
Up to 6–9 monthsNeck & chin bands
Platysmal bands and the downward pull at the corners of the mouth, softened so the lower face reads more relaxed.
How many units an area needs depends on muscle strength, how the muscle moves and how much movement you want to keep — which is why the consultation comes first. You leave it with the areas, the exact unit count and the total price written down, and no obligation to book treatment the same day.
02 — The products
Four toxins,
not one
All four are FDA-approved botulinum toxin type A and all four do the same basic job. They differ in how quickly they show, how long they hold and how they spread through tissue — which is why the choice is part of the plan rather than a house default.
| Product | Onset | Typical duration | Often chosen for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Botox | 3–7 days | 3–4 months | The longest track record and the most predictable spread. The default for first-timers. |
| Dysport | 2–5 days | 3–4 months | Shows a little faster and diffuses slightly wider — useful across broader areas like the forehead. |
| Xeomin | 3–7 days | 3–4 months | A "naked" molecule with no carrier proteins. Often preferred by people who have stopped responding to another toxin. |
| Daxxify | 1–7 days | Up to 6 months | The longest-lasting option, so fewer appointments per year. |
Onset and duration above are general ranges reported for each product, not a promise about your result. Metabolism, dose, muscle strength and treatment area all move these numbers.

05 — How it goes
Three steps,
no pressure
Nothing gets injected on a first visit unless you have a written plan in front of you and you are happy with it.
Consultation
A 15-minute call to hear what is bothering you, review your medical history and talk through whether neurotoxin is even the right tool. You get the areas, the unit count and the price in writing. No payment, no commitment.
Treatment
The injections themselves take about ten minutes and feel like a series of quick pinches. You walk out and go back to your day — no bandages, no recovery, just no lying flat or exercising for the rest of the afternoon.
Two-week review
Neurotoxin is fully settled at around fourteen days, which is the only honest point to judge it. If you want more movement softened, that gets added then — which is exactly why the first dose is kept conservative.
06 — Questions
Before
you book
Anything not answered here, ask on the consultation call — that is what it is for.
No. Sarah uses conservative dosing, starts lower than most injectors, reviews at two weeks and adds only if you want more movement softened. Adding units later is easy; taking them away means waiting three months.
Neurotoxin is priced per unit, so the total depends on which areas are treated and how many units each one needs. Your consultation includes a written plan with the exact unit count and the exact price before anything is injected, and there is no obligation to book treatment the same day.
It depends on the area, how strong the muscle is and how much movement you want to keep. A first frown-line treatment needs far less than a jaw-slimming one. Any injector quoting you a unit count before seeing your face move is guessing, which is why the consultation comes first.
It feels like a few quick pinches and takes about ten minutes. There is no real downtime, but small bruises or minor swelling are possible for 24 to 72 hours, so plan any injectable at least two weeks before an event.
Movement starts softening around day three and the result is fully settled at about two weeks. Most people get three to four months from Botox, Dysport and Xeomin, and up to six months from Daxxify. Treating consistently tends to stretch the interval over time.
All four are FDA-approved botulinum toxin type A and all four relax the muscle causing the line. They differ in onset, how long they hold and how widely they spread in tissue. Botox has the longest track record, Dysport shows faster and diffuses a little wider, Xeomin carries no extra proteins, and Daxxify lasts the longest. The comparison table above sets them side by side.
Neither is a yes or no answer. If a line is visible at rest, treating it keeps it from etching in deeper. If it is only there when you move, there may be nothing worth treating yet. And if lines are already deeply set, neurotoxin softens them but may not erase them — Sarah will tell you that at the consultation rather than after you have paid.
Before: skip alcohol and, if your doctor allows it, blood-thinning supplements like fish oil for a couple of days, to reduce bruising. After: stay upright for four hours, skip strenuous exercise, saunas and facials for the rest of the day, and do not rub the treated areas.
Neurotoxin is not given during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or to anyone with a known allergy to the product or an active infection at the injection site. Certain neuromuscular conditions and some medications also rule it out or change the approach. This is exactly what the medical history review at the consultation is for.
